Here at Ignite, we have been busy Making Beer Make a Difference. In the past couple of months, we have participated with many local fundraisers and community projects to try our best to support and live our mission. One of our favorite new additions is our monthly Making Beer Make a Difference spotlight, where we highlight a cause that we support or a local business partner that we love working with.
This month, our Making Beer Make a Difference spotlight is Relay for Life. Relay for Life’s mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Whether it’s fueling breakthrough research or providing essential services throughout someone’s cancer journey, its fundraising makes a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society holds a place near and dear to the hearts of the Ignite team, as cancer has touched the lives of many families and friends of the Ignite team and the broader Ignite community, and unfortunately many have been lost too soon because of it. It is important to us to support, honor, or remember those that we love that cancer has affected.
To kick off Relay season, we will be hosting a Change for Change event on Friday, June 25th from 4-7PM. All funds raised that evening will be donated to Barberton-area Relay for Life.
This year’s Barberton Relay for Life is Saturday, July 17th. Please join the Ignite team and Relay for Life for a walk-though or drive-thru event down Tuscarawas Ave and end your night on our patio. We have some special happenings at Ignite, including:
- A DJ on the patio, announcing all Luminarias
- Special Tapping – Ignite the Cure Strawberry Rhubarb Blonde Ale, made with rhubarb from Gardner Pie
- Barrio Food Truck from 6-9 PM
- Pie Sampling by Garnder Pie
- 11% of all beer sales donated to Relay for Life
