On Saturday, April 29th, the Ohio & Erie Canalway will be hosting the Scenic Byway Road Rally, and this year they are ending at Ignite! This event welcomes car enthusiasts for a day of driving along the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area, visiting different destinations along the way.
What is the Ohio & Erie Canalway America’s Byway? Nationally designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, an America’s Byway provides a route connecting key cultural, historic, recreational and natural sites of interest within an area by way of two-lane roads.
The Ohio & Erie Canalway America’s Byway travels alongside the historic path of the Ohio & Erie Canal, the nation’s first inland waterway link between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. Learn more about the byway.
